[ Character Profile ]
A third-year in the house of Bahamut, Genesis is a brilliant all-rounder, excelling in all of his classes and after school activities. However, he does not endear himself to his schoolmates as he tends to present an aloof attitude and prefers to work alone. Also, he has a tendency to quote from the book 'Loveless', which gets really annoying really fast. Amongst the people who still talk to him are Angeal, his childhood best friend, and Weiss, a senior from his house.

Genesis carries within him G-cells. These give him a boost in terms of physical ability, but, because they are somewhat unstable, they sometimes give the opposite effect. Although he is not yet aware of it, the cells will eventually cause his physical degeneration.

[ Appearance ]
Genesis dresses mostly in black and red. His clothes are usually stylishly cut, simple but elegant pieces. He does, however, have a liking for making a statement, so he has a couple of more flamboyant pieces in his wardrobe (think of his DoC outfit). His jackets and coats are almost exclusively red, and he's rarely seen without one on. In terms of accessories, he has a few pieces of silver jewellery that he wears on occasion, but mostly he just has a dangling silver earring on his right ear and a stud type earring in his left.

[ Personality ]
Genesis is ambitious. He is always seeking to excel, to go beyond his own limits on his own terms. He has a strong sense of pride and hates having to accept help, no matter what the circumstances. His pride also leads him to hate all forms of cheating, because he believes in relying solely on his own strengths to prove himself. However, he is aware that he's already at an unfair advantage over most normal human beings, so his competitive streak is only directed at others he considers his equals. To put it in another way, he rarely cares to notice anyone he considers inferior to himself.

He has a certain disregard for rules and authority, except when they are his rules, in which case he would be highly intolerant of rule-breaking. This hypocritical behaviour stems from his belief of otherness, that he should not be judged by the same measure as the ordinary folk.

He shows little concern for the feelings and well-being of others, and, in facts, exhibits symptoms of sociopathy. While not exactly sadistic or purposely cruel, he does come of as such because of his general heartlessness. However, when he does take notice of someone, he would tend to be a tad obsessive.

[ History ]
Genesis grew up in the town of Banola as the mayor's only child. His best friend back then was Angeal, and, though they have drifted apart a little through the years, he still considers Angeal one of his only friends. The copy of 'Loveless' he carries around was given to him by Angeal as a birthday gift a long time ago.

He led a priviledged life, and excelled at everything he put his mind to, even argiculture, which was a mainstay in his home town, but it wasn't a particularly challenging life. Eventually, he left Banola to further himself, though he still receives shipments of those Stupid Apples.

[ Pets ] – A hawk.

[ Other ? ] – Genesis uses a red and black sword with an intricate metal hilt. He can power it up, causing runes to show up along the blade. He also has one black wing extending from his left shoulder that allows him to fly. He usually keeps it hidden, though.
